Well, I guess it’s no secret that just about everyone is feeling the effects of the current economic downturn, and when we’re re-evaluating the household budget the first things to get the cut are luxuries, and often times hobbies, or more specifically, ‘boys toys’ fall into that category.
But before making a decision, it’s important to recognise the value of fun. Children certainly know, but grown-ups often forget as we get distracted by responsibilities, obligations and life in general.
And whether we’d like to admit it or not, fun (oh yeah, and love too) makes the world go round. And when things around us begin looking bleak, it’s a great relief to draw on the fun stuff in order to ‘take a step back’ and recharge. Because the fun stuff matters much more than most of us care to acknowledge.
Although it might seem logical to sell off your remote control plane/s or even re-consider purchasing because things are tight, I however, am quite certain that there is no better time to buy because prices are being slashed as retailers compete for sales due to the worldwide decrease in spending.
And it seems that buying online is still the cheapest option due to retailer competition and the ease with which to compare prices, make the purchase and wait for the mail man.
So even though the media tells us that everything is going to hell in a hand basket, don’t kiss your remote control plane dreams goodbye just yet as I think that we are still more than capable of getting what we need, so long as we know where to look and how to make use of all the resources at our disposal.
